While a rainy forecast might have stressed some brides and grooms, Chloe and Brayden didn’t seem to mind the downpour on their Lizton Lodge wedding day. Instead, the couple laughed, kissed, and danced through their day, sometimes beneath a pair of clear umbrellas. Regardless of the weather, a beautiful vow exchange ensured that there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience of Chloe & Brayden’s outdoor ceremony. Rainstorm Photo, appropriately named for this day, captured the special moments, from the couple’s first touch under the awnings of Lizton Lodge’s front porch to the thoughtful boho wedding decor with neutral hues and floral designs created by Custom Blooms.

Lizton Lodge Wooded Ceremony

While watching the spotty rain showers throughout the afternoon, we were optimistic to see a break in the weather at ceremony start time. We started immediately on time, if not a few minutes early, to ensure the couple could say their nuptials under the draped cross in the back woods. Beginning with a short prayer for rain to hold off, the ceremony proceeded without a hitch. Hallelujah! It wasn’t under the couple kissed that the first drop of rain appeared. It was such a magical timing!

The Reception at Lizton Lodge

For the reception, the bride’s boho chic vision came to life. Complete with neutral hues, pampas and boho inspired florals and an adorable neon sign backdrop behind the head table. The couple also built a custom photo backdrop with their script last name. Thoughtful details were sprinkled throughout the grand hall at Lizton Lodge. Outside in the courtyard, guests were able to mingle under the string lights and whimsical bubbles.
