Lauren & Cole approached me with a clear vision: a themed 70’s retro wedding adorned with vibrant oranges and yellows for their Bloomington, Indiana wedding. After reviewing their Pinterest board and discussing their priorities, I fully embraced their concept. Crafting a detailed design board, I meticulously planned every aspect, including the ceremony, sweetheart table design, guest lounge seating, and unique elements.

Among the couple’s top-priority wishlist items were an interactive guest activity featuring the retro airstream photo booth trailer, standout retro focal pieces like the vintage banner on the mantle and mid-century modern style lounge seating and the infusion of vibrant colors to enliven the neutral setting at their Bloomington Indiana wedding venue, The Wilds. Having met at the University of Tennessee, the couple also included a school-themed cake and university chant song to weave their personal love story into the fabric of their celebration.

As a designer, my role is to guide couples through the refinement of their vision and alleviate the stress of decision-making overload. With their input, we fine-tuned the retro wedding design board to perfection. Carefully selecting vendors that resonated with their style, we partnered with Bloomington Indiana wedding vendors, Laurilyn Florals, Violet Vintage, and Joy Stream Mobile MerryMaker (an airstream photo booth) to bring their design vision to reality.
