Laurel Hall is one of Indianapolis’s most hidden gems – and most gorgeous estate venues, in our opinion. When we began working with Katelyn & Mick, we could hardly wait to learn about the details they had dreamed up for their Laurel Hall terrace wedding. As they shared their vision for an outdoor terrace celebration complete with gorgeous florals and thoughtful details, we joined right in on the countdown to the big day. Classic but modern, elegant but playful, stylish but approachable—it was such a joy to help bring this lovely couple’s aesthetic to life through their wedding.
The entire wedding party dressed to the nines. The groomsmen dressed in black and white with matching black bowties and pocket squares. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous black and pink floral dresses and held light pink mixed with greenery bouquets. And while everyone looked stunning, the bride and groom definitely stole the show. From her gorgeous beaded dress, his elegant tux and their happy smiles, all eyes were on the betrothed!
While their personal style certainly played a big role in their wedding plans, what inspired Katelyn and Mick most was their desire to make their guests feel loved and included. Thankfully, none of the rain plans we had devised were necessary. The morning shower cleared by early afternoon turning into a sunny May day that welcomed everyone outside. After the ceremony in the third floor chapel, guests gathered on the terrace, where they were greeted with glasses of lemonade with lavender sprigs and plenty of sweet conversation among family members and friends. We set each table with rose gold chargers, gold flatware and speciality cakes by The Cake Bake Shop in lieu of centerpieces. Guests had so much fun exploring the various cake styles on each table. It was a one of a kind combination of the very best details that the bride and groom hand picked for their special day.
Keeping with the magic of the evening, the couple choose to have their dances on the Laurel Hall terrace. The romantic lights, provided by Indy Dream Weddings, were the perfect ambience.
I can’t think of a more appropriate day for all the things and people you love to come together. Thank you to Katelyn & Mick for allowing us the honor of being a part of your special day. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
Their vendor team was a pleasure to work with and everyone helped make this perfect summer wedding day go so smoothly. Special thanks to everyone!
